Sarah Cassidy started farming in 1996 and has taught food growing to kids and adults since 1998.
She was Seattle Tilth’s Garden Coordinator and Adult Educator from 1998-2001, where she developed the curriculum for Tilth’s ever-popular Comprehensive Organic Gardening (COG) class.
Sarah and husband Luke Woodward were the founding farmers of Oxbow Farm in Carnation, WA. They farmed and managed Oxbow for 17 years. Sarah started Oxbow’s Education Center in 2010; by 2015 over 4000 children annually were visiting its Kids Farm and falling in love with its farm bounty and all the bugs, birds, bees, and butterflies that flock to the thriving ecosystem of an organic farm.
